Wow, what a very busy past few months it has been! Being new to blogging, luckily I did not leave you all "hanging", but my goal, as I have said before, is for that to change!
During my 2 month absence, Chris and I have both been extremely busy at work as well as my additional time has been taken by a new love of mine, Perspectives. I have been taking a class called Perspectives for a few months now and let me tell you, it has completely changed everything for me. The class is on the Christian movement. Every week, we have a guest speaker in class who tells us about their personal experience on the mission field and/or their work to help the mission field as we also discuss that week's readings. Let me tell you. Life. Changed. Wow, hearing these stories from missionaries who have worked in Mongolia, Pakistan, and with great organizations such as Wycliffe Bible Translators has been such a great experience and opportunity. I have already threatened Chris with this class, and being my husband he has no choice ;). What I have loved most about this class, however, is having that additional night every week to come together with my brothers and sisters in Christ, discuss God, read more about God and the Bible, and continue to grow closer in Him. Those who have not taken this class, I strongly recommend it!
Now, on the other side of that coin in the fact that I have been so busy with the homework and reading for this class that it has played a part in my absence. Luckily, however, in order to keep up at work and my life outside of work, I was able to step 1 level down in class and now get to still do all the fun reading and attend class, but have more time to apply the concepts I am learning every week...and see my husband a little more! yay! Win, win for us in the Johnson household!
In addition to my class, Chris and I have been overwhelming blessed by promotions at work! While I work more hours than before, I am doing work that I absolutely love as well as through taking my Perspectives class, I have realized I am EXACTLY where God wants me. What a blessing to be being used!
Chris and I have also been continuing to enjoy our time in nursery as well as with the youth group! We look forward to continuing to build and create relationships with the youth of our church!
Also, this month Chris and I were EXTREMELY blessed to receive a letter from one of our sponsored son's Jerry! What a sweet moment that was for us!
So, while this is out of context of my original format, this is how our past two months have been radical! What a very blessed few months we have had indeed and we look forward to sharing the next radical month, or at least what is left of this one, with you! And, on an equally exciting note, I am so stoked to now have more time to blog! Don't take my absence for lack of care ladies, because while I have been away these past few months I have been mentally logging many ideas for posts...and this time I WILL come through on them!
